When you have decided on the status of an applicant, i.e., successful or declined, they will move into the Applicant Selection stage.  This is a holding area which displays all applicants and their status.

Alternatively, you can choose another stage for the applicant to move to.  For example, if an applicant has rejected your offer you may want to change their status to Declined.  To do this, you would progress them to the Declined Application status.
